The A-side “Nowhere to Run” opens with an anxious bassline speeding through cascading waterfalls of piano chords towards a utopian coastline. The parallel sunbathing harmonies gloriously intersect with an absolutely stunning ooh section, all held firmly together by industrial-strength Cut Copy paste. Before you know it, the laced out middle eight hits, and you’re left with an everlasting afterglow for days.

The flipside, “Easy High” will leave your eyes glazed over and your heart beating in slower motion, with its R&B-influenced electronic touch and pensive Beach House vibes. When you’re stuck on a non-tropical island like Manhattan, you need escapist summer anthems like these to get excited about.
